چکیده
In this paper we propose a computational framework for the investigation of correlated motion between positive and negative ions exposed to attraction bubble surface that mimics (oscillating) cell membrane. The diffusion surfactants is described by Poisson-Nernst-Planck (PNP) system, in which drift term given gradient potential includes both effect Coulomb interaction carriers. latter obtained from solution self-consistent Poisson equation. For very short Debye lengths one can adopt so called Quasi-Neutral limit drastically simplifies thus allowing much faster numerical simulations. has four main objectives. first present PNP model describes ion charges presence trap. second provide benchmark tests validation simplified multiscale models under current development [1]. third explore relevance describing among apolar tails anions. last quantitatively validity comparison with detailed simulation smaller lengths. order reach these goals, simple efficient Alternate Direction Implicit method non-linear guarantees accuracy space time, without requiring nonlinear equation at each time step. New semi-implicit scheme system near quasi neutrality also proposed.

متن کاملNon-spherical particles for optical trap assisted nanopatterning.
Optical trap assisted nanopatterning is a laser direct-write technique that uses an optically trapped microsphere as a near-field objective. The type of feature that one can create with this technique depends on several factors, one of which is the shape of the microbead. In this paper, we examine how the geometry of the bead affects the focus of the light through a combination of experiments a...
متن کاملDiffusion of interacting Brownian particles: Jamming and anomalous diffusion.
The free self-diffusion of an assembly of interacting particles confined on a quasi-one-dimensional ring is investigated both numerically and analytically. The interparticle pairwise interaction can be either attractive or repulsive and the energy barrier opposing thermal hopping of two particles one past the other is finite. Thus, for sufficiently long times, self-diffusion becomes normal or c...
